Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues using various pressures and techniques to enhance your overall health and well-being. Massage has many benefits. To name a few, massage reduces stress, promotes deep relaxation, eases muscle tension, calms the mind, reduces pain, speeds the recovery process from injury and increases circulation.
With a Chrysalis massage, the body is observed as a whole. The therapist studies the body to discover holding patterns, energetic blocks, and areas of distress. Multiple massage techniques may be used to fulfill your individual needs and bring your muscles back to their natural state.

Swedish
The most widely used form of massage, Swedish style uses light gentle strokes to relax the mind and body. This is a full body massage that addresses the major muscle groups with a focus on relaxation and an increase in blood circulation.
Therapeutic
Incorporates a variety of modalities such as sports, deep tissue and trigger point work to target specific ailments or injuries. Using a range of pressures from light to deep, this massage restores the body back to its natural state.
Sports
Not just for athletes, a sports massage targets specific muscles and areas of the body that are overworked by repetitive movements. A sports massage works to relieve stress, pain and aids in recovery from injuries. Stretching, body movement and muscle manipulation are all used in a sports massage.
Deep Tissue
Used to relieve chronic aches and pain, this massage uses slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. The focus is on specific areas of need to realign the muscles and free up the joints for an increase in mobility and range of motion.
Prenatal
Uses gentle, flowing strokes to nurture the body and relieve pregnancy discomforts. This session is done in a side-lying position using pillows to enhance your comfort. The delicate energy of a prenatal massage will leave you feeling cradled and cared for.
Foot Reflexology
Foot reflexology uses pressure on specific zones of the feet that correlate to certain body organs and systems. By applying appropriate pressure to these areas, the body organs and systems are restored, minimizing any ailments or discomforts.
Myofascial Abdominal Work
Our abdominal space is an area where we tend to hold a lot of our stress, emotion and past traumas. Because of this, the abdominal wall can tighten, the pelvic floor can be out of alignment and the digestive system can become off balance. Myofascial abdominal work helps to bring these areas back to their normal alignments and functions.
Lymphatic Drainage of the Face and Neck
The lymph nodes play an important part in flushing our bodies of waste and toxins. These lymph nodes can become full or clogged. Lymphatic drainage uses very light pressure and movement to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, carrying the waste away from the tissues and guiding it back to the heart.
