Hawaiian Healing

Hawaiian Healing, or Ho’ola, is a sacred and profound healing experience. The body is worked on as a whole inspiring a deep, transformational shift within. You are connected to your guides and ancestors or “aumakua”, the land or “aina” and your sacred breath of life or “alo-ha” to assist and allow for deep soul healing to occur.

For centuries the native Hawaiians used Ho’ola as a sacred rite of passage and for medicinal purposes. The healing modalities were  passed down from generation to generation and have since evolved into different variations within each family line.

Living on the Hawaiian islands has granted me the opportunity to have had several trainings and teachings from various forms of Ho’ola directly from native Hawaiian Kahunas.

Ancient Lomi Lomi

This session is divinely guided to observe the body’s holding patterns, emotional blocks and stuck energy. The therapist intuitively tunes in to the body through subtle movements, light stretching and muscle manipulation to bring the body back to its natural state.

Sacred Lomi: Hawaiian Temple Bodywork

This ancient form of lomi lomi was developed by the Hawaiian shaman and used in the temples as a sacred rite of passage. A temple bodywork session brings you to a place of vulnerability and trust. Working the entire body at once, this session offers you the opportunity for profound personal transformation.

Bone Washing

Our bones are our body’s support system, our structural strength, yet they hold memories of past pains, traumas and injuries which may cause weakness. Bone washing works down to the skeletal structure and cleanses the bones of any memories they may be holding on to, freeing your body from restriction.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage

This massage incorporates long flowing strokes to nurture and restore the body. Using mostly forearms, the longer strokes work to move and “push out” stuck energy and muscle tension. These light, soothing movements will guide you to deep relaxation and bliss.

Hawaiian Breathwork

This session interweaves your inner and outer worlds, releasing on a cellular level. Through Hawaiian breathwork you are freed from constrictions, blocks or emotional burdens. Breathwork connects you to your divine breath of life and allows for deep release and transformation.

Laying of the Hands

One of the most primitive forms of Hawaiian healing, laying of the hands uses delicate touch to move energy through the body. It opens the body’s energy channels to rebalance the body systems bringing your physical and energetic forms to a place of peace and harmony.

What is Lomi Lomi?

In the Hawaiian language, the word lomi means to rub, knead or soothe. The Hawaiians used lomi lomi massage for hundreds of years as sacred and medicinal means. Everyone used lomi lomi and different variations evolved within each family.

Back then, lomi lomi was used in four contexts. It was used by the native healers to diagnose and heal others, as a luxury for chiefs to aid digestion, within families for healing and restoration, and by the warriors for rejuvenation. Today, lomi lomi has evolved even more and is used for many different reasons.

Lomi lomi goes far beyond massage. It was, and still is considered to be a sacred form of bodywork. The giver, or “kahuna”, works to inspire a sacred shift within the receiver by connecting them to the land or “aina”, to their guides and ancestors or “aumakua” and to their divine breath of life or “aloha”. By doing this, the body is able to let go and allow for healing to happen.
